Any dice chuckers present?

Anyone play pen-and-paper RPGs? If so what have you played, what do you prefer, and what would you like to play?

I've been playing since 1992, and I've played a huge gamut of games, starting with about every edition of D&D (except 4th), Hunter the Reckoning, Vampire, Vampire LARP (just once so stop giggling), Earthdawn, Cyberpunk, Cybergen, Nightlife, Battle Tech, Mech Warrior, Castles and Crusades, Kobolds ate my Baby, Mutant Chronicles, Savage Worlds, D6, Star Wars (D6 again), Æther, and a few others that I've forgotten.

I prefer playing modern games, though my heart is always in fantasy settings. I love running Æther, which is a system that I created (and have published) that is bundled with a modern noir setting. I love the action of Savage Worlds, and the fun that the system inherently has.

I'd like to play about anything once, a few things over and over, and I love my system, though I get tired of writing rules and rulebooks for it all the time.

My husband and I both pen and paper game. The group we play in has been together since 1986 and it's actually how we met. We have also played about every edition of D&D except 4th, We also play Mutants and Masterminds, Star Wars D20, Rifts and a multitude of others to long to list. Glad to know there are others out there

I feel the same way. Us geeks have to hang together.

My husband and I play together as well! It gets hard with the kids around... Once they are big enough, I am sure we won't have a problem with it!

I use to play every other week. Then my wife decided she wanted more time with me. Between her working mornings and me working evenings... we rarely saw each other. I've played all the D&Ds (4th edition included), War Hammer, Rifts, Shadow Runner, Cathulu, and others. There is also a really fun board game called Descent. If you like RPGs you'll love this game. You will also love Munchkin too. It's a card game with RPG basis. It's not only fun, but hilarious too. If you play it you might fight the "Potted Plant." If you lose then you are "ridiculed until your next turn. I mean, come on, it's a plant."
